Yeah yeah yeah.  The zombie apocalypse is nothing but a new fad that the geeks have latched onto.  Well I’ll have you know that many of us have latched onto this fad years before The Walking Dead and Max Brooks.  Not that they’re not awesome — they are.  But we’ve been onto this thang for awhile now.  Why?  Because IT COULD HAPPEN Y’ALL.  Don’t believe me?  Take a good, hard look at the folks in line at the supermarket next time you’re queued up to buy a pint of Chunky Monkey.  Right?  Right.

THAT was fantastic. These super-fast zombies make the ones in 28 Days Later look like wusses.

I’m a huge fan of the book, and I’ve been excited, then worried about, this film. Rewrites, reshoots…who cares.  If the entire movie plays like this trailer does? I have nothing more to worry about except how much popcorn I want to shovel into my gaping maw at the screening.

World War Z is scheduled to open June 21, 2013.
