Nobody has even accused Hot Tub Time Machine of being subtle.  That’s why I loved the first one (also, 80s shout-out humor.)  So now Hot Tub Time Machine 2 has a Super Bowl ad that puts it all out there.  Um, kinda literally.  But for this year’s game?  Totes relevant.

Here’s the synopsis of the film, in case you haven’t seen the trailer yet:

When Lou (Corddry) finds himself in trouble, Nick (Robinson) and Jacob (Duke) fire up the hot tub time machine in an attempt to get back to the past. But they inadvertently land in the future. Now they have to alter the future in order to save the past… which is really the present, in the sequel from the same team that brought you the original cult hit.

Sounds like paradoxes abound here, but all in good fun (and good spoof).  HTTM2 hits theaters February 20th.  So program that into your own hot tub.
