Mmmm, trailers. My favorite part of hitting the theaters! Okay, my second favorite thing (unless the movie I’ve headed to is a stinker, then they’re back to #1.) My latest obsessions, lemme show you them.

If you’re like me, you loved you some Monsters, Inc.  “Kitty!”  ZOMG, did Mary Gibbs nail the voice of little toddler Boo or what?  Yeah she did.  But in Monsters University, we go back in time to when Mike & Sully were in undergrad…or would that be monstergrad?  Dunno, but the trailer makes me wish it was opening this June, not not June 2013….

I loved the first ParaNorman trailer. Groovy and ghoulish, and great animation. The new one gives more of a storyline teaser, a creepy witch, and a fantastic Halloween/Friday the 13th shout-out! Luckily, we don’t have to wait long for this one, as it opens in August. But til then, enjoy!

And, because I seem to be obsessed with all things animated today — especially animated monsters — Hotel Transylvania! Because don’t you want to know where monsters go on vacay? And the idea of a hostel-hopping college kid stumbling onto this secret hideaway sound promising….

And finally, I almost left the trailer for Life of Pi out, as there are no links to the trailer on the Interwebs as of yet. (And it’s not animated.) But it was so brilliant when I saw it in theaters during the screening (I’ve forgotten exactly which screening, as they all tend to blend together after awhile) and it blew me away. So feast your eyes on an image from that trailer, and be prepared to shell out for a 3D upgrade when Life of Pi hits this November. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.
