Oh man. League of Denial was one powerful Frontline piece. I recommend seeing it if you can (tip: it’s on the Netflix…) So when I saw the trailer for Concussion, a biopic about the discovery of CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy) in football players? I knew I had to see this movie. You too? Well then, I’ve got passes. Synopsis!
Concussion, is a dramatic thriller based on the incredible true David vs. Goliath story of the brilliant forensic neuropathologist who made the first discovery of CTE, a football-related brain trauma, in a pro player and fought for the truth to be known. Omalu’s emotional quest puts him at dangerous odds with one of the most powerful institutions in the world.
