“You know you’re one bad day away from being me.”

And isn’t that why Frank Castle resonates with readers? Because we’ve all been in a situation where if we’d had the right training/firepower/skills, we fear we might go just as postal. Or maybe we’d even long for that kind of release. But if the Punisher teaches us anything, it’s that Castle’s pain never lessens, and his work never ends.  And that’s no way I wanna walk through life.  Better to read the issues, and watch episodes on TV!

New Daredevil cast member Jon Bernthal (aka Shane from The Walking Dead) nails Castle’s quiet anger and crackling undercurrent of rage. Gives me chills. The good kind, not the forgot-my-coat kind.  And the differences between Matt Murdock’s justice, and the Punisher’s “they stay down” mentality should provide lots of drama this season.
