I saw a teaser trailer for this film last week at the Breaking Dawn Part 2 screening, and have been in a fangirl squee mode ever since. Zombies?  Zombies becoming self-aware?  That’s also a comedy?  With John Malkovich and Rob Corddry (Childrens Hospital) along for the ride? Yes, please.

Warm Bodies is based on the book of the same name by Isaac Marion.  It’s definitely got a zombified Romeo & Juliet vibe to it, and the IMDb description only serves to cement my notion:

After a zombie becomes involved with the girlfriend of one of his victims, their romance sets in motion a sequence of events that might transform the entire lifeless world.

Warm Bodies is scheduled to open February 1st, 2013.  Just in time for Valentine’s Day y’all.  Awww.
