Yes, I love our yearly Christmas Village. Good food, great crafts, and lovely, lovely munchies. But I really love a sunny day at the Harbor too. So I’m stoked that Baltimore Wine Village is coming back, after a fantastic season last year!

There’ll be the same kind of fun, food, and drink, along with some of the coziest spots to kick back in. (I love those lawn chairs…)

WINE VILLAGE RETURNS TO THE INNER HARBOR FROM MOTHER’S DAY WEEKEND THROUGH MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

Baltimore, MD – Celebrate spring in Baltimore like never before with the return of Wine Village at the Inner Harbor. Brought to you by the makers of Christmas Village, visitors can find a cozy spring setting at the waterfront from May 9 through May 27, 2024. In its second year, Wine Village boasts over 30 vendors with most of them from Maryland, marking a significant increase from its inaugural year. Visitors can expect a cozy and romantic spring oasis at Wine Village, adorned with blooming flowers, lush trees, and twinkling lights, creating the perfect ambiance for a memorable experience. Besides the exciting new additions like the German Wein Wagon serving up European wines, visitors can look forward to a lineup of special events and performances by local bands, singers, and DJs. For those seeking an extra touch of luxury, pre-reserve one of the exclusive luxury picnics with local “Baltimore Picnic Co.” for an unforgettable experience with friends and family. With so much to offer, Wine Village promises to be an even lovelier and better destination for visitors to enjoy.

2) INSPIRATION

Wine Village in Baltimore is modeled after wine villages that pop up in villages across Germany’s wine regions starting every April and May. Wine Village takes inspiration from Germany’s authentic and casual wine traditions, while also featuring crowd favorite vendors and attractions from Baltimore’s Christmas Village. Embracing the mild and warm spring temperatures, Wine Village will offer a romantic and cozy setting at the Inner Harbor with a local and curated international wine selection, European fare, beautiful blossoms and flower beds, a charming historic carousel, local arts, crafts and food vendors, entertainment, stage performances, games and elite vibes.

3) ADMISSION

There is no charge to visit Wine Village in Baltimore. Food, drink and gifts are pay-as-you-go.

5) May 10th, 2:45pm – Wine Village Opening Ceremony

The public is invited to celebrate the official opening of Wine Village in Baltimore. The ceremony includes speeches by the CEO of Wine Village, Thomas Bauer, and more guests including Reginald Moore, Director of Baltimore City Recreation and Parks, Nicole Green, Deputy Director of Administration, Michael Hasper, Minister Communication and Culture of the German Embassy and Melody Thomas from Waterfront Partnership and more special guests. The Opening Ceremony will be accompanied by the official Marching band from Baltimore’s very own football team, the Ravens.

Special guest appearance: The Oriole Bird will be making a special appearance at 3pm to celebrate the start of Wine Village with everyone. Bring the entire family to take pictures with your favorite Bird.

6) May 12th – Mother’s Day

Take your Mom or Dad out to the waterfront and celebrate Mother’s Day at Wine Village. Be sure to be one of the first to get a glass of wine and surprise your Mom or Dad with a rose. Take them on a special date and enjoy Corn Dogs, Corn on the Cob and many other comfort foods to spoil your mom while enjoying the perfect spring aesthetics and vibes at Wine Village. Treat your Mom and Dad to unique gifts from over 30 arts and crafts, jewelry, food and self-care vendors.

7) Open Air Movie Nights

Families, friends and couples can gather for a movie night right at the Inner Harbor on Thursday nights during Wine Village – for no charge! Mark your calendars every Thursday from 8:30pm – 10pm on the following dates:

8) AARF Dog Foster Event on Tuesday, May 14 and Tuesday, May 21 from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Join us at Wine Village on May 14th and May 21st from 3pm to 5pm as we welcome the Animal Allies Rescue Foundation (AARF), a dedicated non-profit committed to rescuing and rehabilitating abandoned, abused, homeless, and senior dogs and cats in the Baltimore region. AARF will be taking the stage to spread the word about their mission and the importance of animal adoption. 9) Dog Adoption with Maryland SPCA on Saturday, May 18 at 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

The Maryland SPCA is an animal shelter that works to improve the lives of pets and people in Baltimore City and the surrounding areas. Stop by the stage at Wine Village and learn more about supporting Maryland SPCA and say hi to two furry little friends that are looking for a new home.

17) ABOUT WINE VILLAGE

The makers of Christmas Village will go from festive to fine (wine) with the return of Wine Village in Baltimore. The three-week festival and new springtime tradition will take over Inner Harbor’s West Shore Park from Mother’s Day Weekend to Memorial Day. For Wine Village’s second season, the Village will build upon its success of year one and expand with new wine selections, new cocktails, more shopping, arts and crafts vendors, new food selections, updated layouts and new attractions. Wine Village will bring back crowd favorites, such as wine slushies, authentic European foods, live entertainment, movie nights, a historic carousel, discounted parking and unique vibes at the Grape Escape, Picnic Point and Wine Terrace. Charm City’s newest wine festival is inspired by Germany’s traditional and casual wine events. Wine Village will be open every day and no admission to attend from preview day on Thursday, May 9th, Opening Day and Ribbon Cutting on Friday, May 10th, through Memorial Day Monday, May 27, 2024.
